Wassa feelings on HB?

Me thinks they have attempted to mix a bit of Chasers (with a fair bit less smug smart@rse attitude - but a little all the same) and a bit of real current affairs/opinion with a bit of (at times) cack funny stuff.

Didn't see all of this week's ep but so far so good I reckon. It's not all champagne but considering some of this lot are new-ish it is on track to produce a few rough diamonds. Better than the Chaser for me at least.

Similar to The Chaser, where usually about 50% of the show was entertaining... always a bit hit and miss!

GNW is still funny though....?

WAS GNW ever funny...?

mcdermmott and robbins two of the most tired, predictable and boring 'supposed to be funny' people on tv...

... and i don't even own a tv!

from what i've seen, HB is a smart all too slick and cleverly written look at all that is wrong with the state of a missled and aimlessly wandering australian society and its all too self important youth

Saw HB on the first week. The highlight was their fake research institute that let out a press release on, 'Which Australian city was the most gullible'. In this era of easy internet searches I thought it was a bit of a laugh, and a bit of a worry, that many gullible news outlets picked up on the story without bothering to check anything before putting it to air.

The big hoax was a big hit and a part of me didn't think the show had anywhere to go for the second week.

Surprisingly I found the second show much better. It was interesting to see the bright young adults' take on media and life.

Yet to see the third installment. Was it worth it? Will catch it on IView later this evening.

You aint sh!ttin the medico.

It is truly embarrassing (for him) to watch Mikey guffaw at his jokes (the likes of which Bert Newton would think of as tired and transparent) before he has even shoveled them out onto the laugh track inspired rent-a-crowd. Next shot cuts to McDermott grinning like stoopid monkey on crack to suggest it actually was funny. Barf bag please..

Reckon the HB is starting well ahead of GNW but will it have legs or fade into Mikey-land?

^^^^hey that got me thinking....
how about a reality "hide & Seek" t.v. show. then the Doc can finally enjoy at least one show on the idiot box.

BTW - totally agree with you on GNW. The only one from Doug Anthony All Stars doing anything credible is Richard Fidler on ABC radio.
