MSN, I'm shocked, surely you know that by he year 2000 circular quay will be awash, much of the eastern seaboard will be submerged etc etc all from rising sea levels due entirely from climate change.
So sayeth the climate scientists, all heil the experts. 😀😀😀😂

If only we had a carbon tax this would have all been sorted.
F-me MSN. Get with the program.
Climate change is so like yesterday, old man.
We all know Perth is more than half way to becoming a ghost-city and Sydney has 60% less rain and permanently empty dams. and we are 1/4 of the way to humans existing as only a few isolated breeding pairs living at the poles.
But the market has dropped right out of it.
Nah.... the smart money to be made these days is in global flotillas, hating on gingers and orange people, and the bashing of western moral and religious values.
This thread ain't gonna get the forums back on track.
Mind you MSN, if I had dual Aussie and Tuvalu citizenship, I'd keep my home on Tuvalu as well - so good on ya.
I can only imagine there is no market for property on the low lying coral atolls or at least the recent ones that didn't exist when the Great Pyramids were built, and besides even if you did sell then the CGT you'd have to pay would more than the monthly rent on an apartment in Melbourne was last week before the budget.
I don't believe in climate change.🤣🤷

we we live (french polynesia) rising sea levels are NOT a joke
try living on an atoll that is only a couple of meters above sea level. you will soon change the record
cheers,
When I add a rock to a bowl of water the level of the water rises.
Land is created by volcanoes every year, like in Hawaii.
Explain to me - like I'm 10 years old - what happens to the water level of the ocean when new land is created?
The lava from volcanoes that causes rising sea levels, comes from the centre of the earth. Does that mean the centre of the earth is getting more hollow every time a volcano shoots it's load?

Volcanoes small... Oceans big.

Meh
It's raining today, and I know if I add water to the bowl the water level also rises. So with all the rain and volcanoes, wouldn't it be natural for Tuvalu to disappear eventually- it's very low?
I just watched the Kylie documentary on Netflix.
I struggle to see how anyone could dislike her.
What don't you like about the princess of pop?
Bipolar much?
Kylie was definitely heartbroken when Michael Hutchence drifted away. Just like Jason Donovan was heartbroken when Kylie left him for Michael Hutchence.
But to even suggest that Kylie was bipolar is quite incorrect.

Lava that comes out of volcanos comes from the upper mantle not the centre.
The centre is a long way away and does not get chucked out of volcanos.
Little know fact - but Professor Otto Lidenbrock is one of the few people to have ever travelled to the earth's centre, where he found dinosaurs still living, thus disproving both the flat earth theory and the theory of evolution.
Kylie ...
Gramps,
I think you are not talking to the kids anymore. When you refer to Kylie I assume you mean Australia's Ms Minogue.
The celebrity Kylie of today is not the same person. Do try to keep up with the Kylies.
^^^ You have obviously watched that 1959 documentary 'Journey to the centre of the Earth'
Professor Otto Lidenbrock and his team of experts got there through tunnels from a volcano and when they got to the core - centre of the earth - it was a hollow cave.
Probably hollowed out by the volcano.
Play the ball, not the man. No need to go all 'Ben Gvir' on me!
Sincerest apologies MSN.
I have nothing but the utmost respect for your very knowledgeable contribution to all subjects on these forums. If I appeared to be mocking you then I withdraw the comment and will say seven Hail Mary's in penance.
But .... speculating the core had been hollowed by volcanos still seems an unlikely hypothesis. Volcanos are still spewing lava, yet the core has been hollow since at least 1959 as you highlighted. Thus the source of the current lava can't be the core, hence why would the source of any previous lava also be from the core. Although, as others have previously pointed out, Carantoc is not a signitist and thus cannot verifiably discern the actual source of lava.
