Thought it was time to update my home and contents insurance, asked a few pointed questions and found that even though my total contents policy cover is equivalent to the value of my goods certain things are not covered because of exclusions..

app $9k worth of tools but a maximum of $1k is covered

app $5k of skateboard collection but a maximum of $2k is covered

app $16k of sporting goods but only a max of $5k is covered......

At least my pinnies are insured for their full value

Anyone got a good insurer for itemising goods and getting good cover ?

Had massive water damage to the house and garage (not flood related, water pipe blew in the roof cavity) RAC replaced every items on the damaged list (old for new) no hassles, the house was repaired, the furnitures replaced, some antic were repolished RAC was great assisted on the nite it happend, despatched a cleaning company and a plumber. AAAA+ service.
