Life Expectancy

Nobody can be certain of the typical lifespan of a Great White Shark. Various scientific evidence suggests around 30 to 40 years, although it is not unreasonable for a large marine animal to live longer.

Could just be Doggie, the one that hangs around the sounds has to be the same bloke. Always 5m always there when snapper are spawning.
Time to tag em all.

Too early to tell but from memory the Cott shark from 11 years ago was 4-4.5 metres, estimates from a pair of shredded speedos is suggesting that the current Cott shark is only 3m.

Dunno how they can even remotely gauge size from a shredded pair of stretchy sluggos but time (and a body) may tell.

If it is the same shark then at least one guy will very much regret that 11yrs ago it wasn't knocked off.

Also from (patchy ) memory, I recall, in the episode 11 yrs ago, that it took days of to-ing and fro-ing but a decision was evetualy handed down to hunt and knock off the Cott shark. All meaningless as the shark was LONG gone by then.

Especially seeing they followed the shark straight after the attack for hours...

Cray season next month is going to be interesting to say the least.

Interesting how the shark left the speedo's must be an acquired taste, now if someone can coax Tony Abbot to venture in water for a swim of the WA coast......sorry I was thinking out loud

No, no, no. They thought it was still around and they closed down all the beaches. But then they opened them again because it was bad for tourism. Then there was a scare amongst a group of swimmers but it just turned out to be some kids in a fake shark suit thing, who nearly got shot. BUT MEANWHILE it was hunting down some guy in a rowboat IN THE FN LAKE while nobody was looking!

That's how I remember it anyway.

Now where did I see that?
I wasn't all that fussed at the time because they were all annoying little americans.
