The thing that broke me today is medicare. What happened to the old system where they'd do the paperwork, directly with the provider? To be honest I do not understand the change.
Also I fly a lot and I've actually noticed the announcements getting longer and longer. The list of things to turn off before we take off is bordering on ridiculous. They pretty much don't shut up until we've landed.

nah,i wake up and go for a surf. depending how much i surfed will decide how many weetbix i eat. send the grom to school. chase the girl around the house send her to work. then study....till i get distracted. then depending on conditions,i will surf again or skate the bowl or bomb a hill. eat dinner,send grom to bed,then chase girl around the house life is grand

Mine are now 8 (today!!) and 11 and way back yonder I never thought I would survive. But you do....and thank the Gods or Dogs that you have a Nanny in your life to help out...this little black duck never did while I had a screamer glued to my tit or over my shoulder for the first two years of her life (literally..no joke).
The rewards are endless...the screamer is now The Wookie who skateboards, cycles, is my autopilot on the boat, drools with her mama over the bigger faster cats that we aspire to own, and can't wait to get big enough to learn to kitesurf...she is amazing!!!
The other one is just as amazing in a deep as the deep blue sea way!!! She's the one who will sit on the foredeck and research and classify every creature we have seen on the beach or in the water.
They're special mate....but anything that's special is hard work.
About your girl....don't ever let that slip....this is the danger time that you have to remain ever vigilant through to keep the passion alive, the fire burning. Sadly, some of us don't make it. Utilise that Nanny to take The Girl out on hot dates and make sure you treat her like a woman, not the mother of your children...find the time, find the energy.
All the other **** in life is just that...materialistic, meaningless, ****....love and life is what keeps it all together. If you miss a bday party; email; school gig;....big woop...let go, do what you can.

My policy is not to buy anything for myself or family that promises it will improve my life that has been designed by someone in a big office who doesn't have a life.
...in reality I actually don't live by this policy but its nice to keep in mind while you drive down to have a sail and you look around at all the those that will be playing with their gadgets of frustration for the rest of the afternoon.

Ados! You must be my lucky charm! Late this Arvo got a call and offer for a job that I've been waiting for for the last 10 months! Resignation is printed and getting handed in tomorrow. So stoked! Life is grand!
