Oh Okay - being a newbie "recruit" I spose I betta reveal a bit ....
Footy died for me (active support-wise) in the last round of 1996. ... an old Gorilla , a ***boy.
One of the original Victorian Clubs , won quite a few flags , a few Brownlows and a long list of Greats of the game did emanate.
Administrative mistakes were made aplenty, future prep not done right , the lifeblood did flow... battlers-even at the end.
Not much support from the AFL (intent on interstate expansion at all costs-read PAFC , GC & GWS)
Q: Who ye ask?
Hint: We're now an amateur team with the old guernsey back (Vic)
fair enough post yep - watter's good hereabouts in mandurah (& rest WA fer that matter) , but am at work and should be out there gettn wet it's depressive stuff not wanting to think 'bout wot I'm missing ;-(
Weather's changed - turning to c**p , winds in - might be good fer the windies , shame really but hey I'm at work so missed out anyway boo hoo hoooooo howwwwwlll yipped the bullpup ...
remember couple years back playing a pennant squash match for Vic.Park against team from other side of town.
in boardroom afterwards, two teams enjoying food+drinks and talking for half hour or so about Aussie Rules, cricket like the ..yim generally do.
other team are bunch of friendly mid-aged South Africans, one of them thou was a particularly arrogant,close-minded soul. .....especially when i so rudely interrupted footy conversion to talk about you know what.
after 10 minutes or so of exchanging opinions/facts, he got up,shouted i've had enough up and walked out. the other three then had to follow as all came in same car!
all that extra food and drink for ourselves.
Goats are bad news. For starters they eat shirts.
They do not belong here and have gone completely feral and are spread over an area that is wide as there is water and feed available. They trap them out west of Walgett in massive numbers by penning off the drinking holes. They are sold at significant profit to the Arabs.
Regardless of their impact on flora there is not much incentive to kill an export market.
They taste like goat and have to be curried. Their kids are funny.
i think goat is under rated as meat. great for curry, yes, but so nice when roasted properly........ nom nom nom.
they should make a new afl team - the Bluff Goats.
btw, i dislike the footy with a passion [}:)]
you want to try being in Geelong at the moment.....
argh.
only good bit about football is brownlow chick night
