It's the same all over Australia.
UK driving license: GBP 24 lasts 70 years.
Trailers don't need.
Boats don't need.
Same pretty much everywhere else too.
Drink some tap water, you'll feel better.
That sucks, I though my chully bun was exempt from rego due to being under 3.1m and running a 5hp. It seems not![]()

it gets worse GD, in WA if it has an engine mount it must be registered for use in surveyed?waters but in order to register it you need to supply engine details including a serial number, which must be sighted to fill out the paperwork. so if your new kayak has a mount and you have no engine its gonna get hard.
I turned up for registration with a yamaha 6hp engine block only ,but since it had a serial number on they reluctently passed it
All the license requirements just to start using the toys. Once you start using then comes the fines for not using them right.
I received a letter from the department of transport that as part of my mooring license I now have to pay a certified inspector to make sure the mooring is up to scratch. The crew at the DOT office must have shares with the listed contractors I reckon.
More cash out.
Fine here fine there... disobeyed council directive $130, went 2kms over tortoise speed $160 ... just the price of living in a fine country.
^^^ could do...but do you recon the fisheries boys look at vin numbers on trailers.
I can't lie to save my life....![]()
