does anybody know of any good software for converting .MOV files ( movies from a still camera) to .mpegs so I can edit and play with the files.
I used to have some software but after the computer bombed I no longer even know what the software was called.
try streamclip from www.squared5.com
its what we use to go from mpg to mov and vice versa.

I use Super quite a bit to convert Divx etc. to iPod format. It can do just about any conversion you like. Interface is a bit questionable but hey it's free!
