Hey all,
I'm moving from Perth northern suburbs where I have a "smart wired" house with everything running on fiber optics to the central Mandurah area.

The fiber optics is incredibly fast, can download a few gig in a matter of minutes, no load time on youtube etc. The question is what is the go for the Mandurah area ADSL or wireless? And what sort of speeds can I reasonably expect?
cheers

Hmmm,.. no reply in 1 hour and 21 minutes.
I think this means that the signal still hasn't got to the Mandurah area yet.
Any minute now they will get it.

All good in Secret Harbour, can't imagine it being any different down Mandurah........our wireless is aapt, have the USB thingy for 3 & telstra too & they work as equally good. I know nodafone can have issues in areas down this way.

Maybe the string connecting the cans broke.

I was going to say that in mandurah they still write letters to each other but you have to know how to write first

It did today...

Depends on where you are in central mandurah...

Optus doesnt have local loop unbundling down here so you can go with Telstra on ADSL2+ or anyone else on ADSL.

NBN is due for rollout in Central Mandurah (was in todays local paper) and Meadow Springs this year...

I wouldnt use Telstra if I could get away with it but recently changed to them from 3 trouble free years of westnet. I needed a fixed IP and Westnet wanted an extra $40 a month! So I went with Telstra and got a faster connection and all the billing hassles etc...

Indeed... wont be holding my breath...

(although there are 300... yep 300! addresses that will benefit... and central mandurah is mostly crappy run down fibro houses that the occupants spend their money on emu export and winnie blues - cant see them using the NBN)
