Just posting to see if there is any interest for a mobile app of the seabreeze graphs

Has seabreeze.com considered this?

I'm curious to the benefit/s of having an app.

The graphs already display beautifully on my phone (Galaxy Note), is it not the same for iPhones etc?

I got the app to support my fav site :)

Plus!! It saves having an extra page open on the browser, mine gets clogged up with too many pages.

Seabreeze app is awesome!!

Sorry anonymous red-thumber, I wasn't being anti-app or knocking it in any way, it was a technical question.
I don't have an iPhone to check out the app, so while waiting for the android app, I figured here would be a good place to ask questions.

All better in your world now?

Yes, the android App is on the way, graphs are all complete, hoping to test soon ..

What's the benefit of an App over the new Mobile site?

Kind of like do you prefer vanilla or caramel?

Mobile: The mobile App uses less bandwidth

The App's render the graphs on the phone, rather than download. The average weather page view is about 200-400kb, which is usually no drama on most mega-gigabyte ADSL plans. But mobile data is different & can be limited/expensive. Each weather refresh on the mobile uses about 20kb (about a 10th), or

Mobile is easy & fast .. tap the icon, and custom native hires graphs are displayed

Mobile has a fully native iphone experience to use the classifieds, including uploading piccies direct from camera

Mobile doesn't completely cover the site .. e.g. No forums, or weather extras, photos etc.. .. it's focussed on the Weather & Buy & Sell at this stage...

Hope that helps.

metawidget is a good android option if you can't wait. I prefer widgets to apps for this kinda thing.

Hey laurie, while we Are on the subject is there any reason why ( with the new mobile friendly version) I can no longer copy images from the site. I used to copy and past from the funny images thread but don't seem to be able to do it any more?

Nothing has changed in that department? Can you describe how you do it, and what does/doesn't happen now?

I'll get the android one when it comes.

1. to support the site
2. I find I always use the carsales and realestate apps when I could use their sites via browser. Apps are faster and easier, and it takes you back to the same exact spot as you were last time.

I used to just hold my thumb on the image and it would give me the option to copy. Now it does nothing. It's on an iPhone 5 so it may be related to that. Anyone else having the same issue on this very average phone?
