As I don't have the time to start and abandon sh!t movies, I tend to consult IMDB on-line before making a decision to see/watch a movie... check the rating and then skim the last couple of lines of viewer reviews...(not so much the critic reviews). Anything lower than 7/10 and I don't tend to bother...

Yes............. see your point they never speak about cowgirls............ but surely mmmmmmmmmm cows and sheeps.... maybe in NZ ?
I have my own movie review method.
1/ put on movie
2/ get comfortable
3/ see how long I stay awake for.
If I stay awake the whole movie, it's above 8/10. If I fall asleep the result from 10 is proportionate to the time I stay awake for.
I even remember taking an absolute bombshell to the movies and falling asleep on her shoulder on the 1st date. The movie was crud, I married a different woman
i saw a movie called 'hot tub time machine' recently.
thought it was going to be totally cr*p so just watched it to take the p*ss
turned out to be awesome!!

Have big screen plasma (just to annoy the anti plasma lobby) set in my lounge.......... picture is perfect, sound is awesome........ I am watching in a sweet recliner and it doesn't matter what the movie is from crap to super cool I always fall asleep so I can enjoy any movies exactly the same!
A few years back myself and a mate thought we would catch Independence Day on the big screen. It was sold out but another movie was showing about golf so we thought why not we are here now anyway. Only about a dozen people in there to hear me almost crapping my pants laughing to Happy Gilmore. Stoked the other one was sold out.
