Hi - I am new to windsurfing but have always wanted to give it a go. I wish to buy a board, preferably second hand for the family for Christmas. In the family we have two sailors, three non sailors. All are adults. Two female, Three male. Me - the purchaser is female.
Just wondered what you recommend.... I know some big boards are easier to learn on but not good after that.
Would love to buy locally - Hobart.

Any advice would be welcome.

Mary

maryd You could start with give people your location in Australia there is plenty of support for new people entering the sport and beginner gear going around on a -Non finatual benefit scheme (basically)old windsurfing equipment that is given away to learners. post a thread looking for hand me downs in your local area i.e windsurfing .wa qld.etc

The windsurfing discipline is not for everyone and the gear is given away on the understanding that if you dont use it repost it for the next person !!!Under no circumstance are you to obtain gear for $$$ advantage ! Give it a try

So, you talkin' Eastern Europe, yes? Is Lake Dzhasybay in the local area of Kyzylorda?

And I never knew Cooktown and Bamaga were considered local to Brisbane.
