I've always been a bit confused as to why there's no paddling forum. Plenty of us do it, afterall it's not always windy and masturbating is more of a time and place kind of activity.

Join the bodyboard esky lid crew !!! Body-boarders have been chancing a forum for ages aswell. Dont think Laurie/green-pat and the admin crew know how big this site is yet !!!! drive 2500 kilometers north of Perth and you'll see a seabreeze graph bluetacked to a roadhouse /shop window No internet connection for 200+- miles radius
, Think they could literally take over fishing body-boarding/ kayaking diving/snorkeling and another sport related to the weather in Western Australia.

I think it was just assumed they would all just naturally lump together with all the other deviants in the SUP forum.
( too late,.. I'm running already. )

Fishing,
Boating/jet ski
Bodyboarding,
Ski,

Add them you would get a million extra hits a year and just think of the advertising revenue!

We tried a hanggliding forum, but it never took off.

Same with kayak/ski forums .. getting them busy was like heading up stream with a paddle...

Fishing - there are plenty really well established/trafficed/moderated forums that you can get hooked on ...

Try

fishwrecked.com
fishraider.com.au
ausfish.com.au

Oh - come on, Laurie!

I have written a somewhat lengthy post here;

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/New-South-Wales/Rose-Bay-tomorrow-suitable-for-a-learner/

Refers to;
- day kayaking on Sydney Harbour and it bays and estuaries
- expedition sea-kayaking, Bass Strait specifically
- white-water kayaking at the amazing artificial Penrith White-water Stadium
- SOT's
- ocean skis
- issues such as crowding on said waterways
- kayak rolling technique
- carrying a long kayak atop a car in strong wind
- kayak clubs

And that is potentially 9 threads, if not sub-sections

Yep and Street Sup got a run.

A general ocean paddling forum would be the go. Covers skis, outriggers, SUP etc.

They all come to Seabreeze anyway for the wind forecast.

Most check Seabreeze, cross check wind guru and you're pretty much sweet to plan car shuffles.

I would have throught a ski/paddling forum would have had enough traffic, more than yatching anyway....

I have noticed a bigger interest in ski paddling over the last couple of years, here in perth there are several races/serries that run all season, various groups that meet up for paddling and training. Most of these have FB pages (Rather be Paddling, IOP, Sunset serries etc)

already a few ski/downwinder trype forums around like skiinfo etc.

I know that all the fellow kayak fisho's around here check the seabreeze wind graphs to plan there day and to see whats comming up the coast from their mobiles when on the water.
They might hang around a bit longer if there was a forum as well.
