Does anyone have any personal experiences with this that they would care to share? I never heard of it until a couple of weeks ago and am surprised how many people don't know about it. ![]()
Plain old Sorbolene works fine ![]()
But seriously.. (after a quick google) we have toothpaste these days. It doesn't take 15-20 minutes.
Geez Sambo, still alive! Well done!
In my opinion, the Oil Pulling bizzo is mostly another load of snake oil.
The fact that it has been around for centuries and is still not widely known or used is proof of that.
However, I did say "mostly" because there may be a very slight benefit in the small amount of Oleuropein absorbed through the mouth lining if you swish with olive oil, as some recommend.
But then if that's the case, just hop out and buy some liquid Olive Leaf Extract and take a spoonfull or two (about 10 to 15 ml) each day and that will give you heaps more of the active ingredient (oleuropein) than swishing a bit of oil through your mouth. Also, it only takes 30 seconds whereas the swishing is sposed to take 20 to 30 minutes. And really, who is going to bother with a 30 minute procedure each morning?
And you're in luck because one of the biggest producers of Olive Leaf Extract in the world is right there in Queensland where you are. They have a web site. Lookem up. You can buy it direct or from a chemist at twice the price.
Also, if you think you are having trouble with toxic chemical buildup, splash out on a course of chelation and that should fix that. You can look that up on the web too, under "chelation therapy". Unfortunately that is a lot more expensive than olive leaf extract, usually around $5000. There are a number of places in queensland that can offer that as well.
sambo i bet you've got a doona with magnets in it, definatley a water filter (forget about the flouride - what about the chlorine!) what about one of those rubber straps to "earth" the car and stop car sickness? And a brock crystal or a hiclone under the bonnet!
Do you use a mobile phone by any chance? now there's something you should be worried about!
There are many other natural therapies around that you should consider too. They been around for ages, and similarly there are plenty of books written by people with real medical degrees (Dr. Bruce Fife is a certified nutritionist and naturopathic physician Not a recognised Medical doctor). If you read the words on the book cover there are no solid statements "This book COULD have the solution", "ALL disease starts in the mouth, MOST of the chronic...", "you are BOUND TO HAVE other health problems". This is pseudoscience, not science.
There are plenty of quacks out there trying to sell you the latest thing in alternative healthcare (Over 10,000 books listed at Amazon under "Natural Therapy". There is NO peer reviewed scientific evidence that Oil Pulling works. Having said that there is also no evidence that it does any harm either.
I would put it in the same bucket as Aromatherapy, Reiki Massage, Homeopathy etc. There is no solid science behind them, but if you get a benefit, more power to you.
And just to make my position clear - I am an eternal Skeptic, and always will be.
Can someone please explain to me, thoroughly, how exactly toxins build up in my body?
Where/why/how does my body store toxins?
What are they, exactly?
etc.
toxins build up in my body in the groinal region, where they must be excised by pulling, but not with oil. that's gross.
Hey sambo have you looked into urine therapy? Nothing like a warm cup of piss to start the day. Cures what ails ya.
No, they talk talk talk... badger you till you kill yourself.
Then the toxins leach out into the ground as you break down.
If he means the other thing, hey haircut any tips on where to find such female naturopaths who only have my health in mind?? ![]()
