We're thinking of taking our little catamaran down to the Gold Coast and sailing from there to South Straddie for a couple of nights (probably camp at Currigee). We'll be towing the cat from Redlands, so will need somewhere to leave the car and trailer, hopefully somewhere where we're likely to find it still safe upon our return! Does anyone know of safish parking (ideally which doesn't cost the earth)?

Thanks!

biggera waters boat ramp is straight across from currigee, and if you arrive late arvo you will probably get a park. it's a residential area but don't leave valuables on view and have a trailer lock.

happy camping

^ Biggera Waters has a bridge, no? (and a really good fish & chips)

Hollywell:

Very quiet, very safe, reasonably affluent area. Actually scroll up and down, there are quite a few little boat ramps like that one. I don't think you'd get done for parking a couple of nights (but don't quote me).

Thanks for the replies! I'll look into those. I wonder if that's what most people do, just leave their cars in residential street parking when they go to S Straddie?

Sorry to sound really stupid - how does a trailer lock work? Tks :)
