With all of the religous discussion of late.

Here is a win for religous freedom. Or more to the point making a mockery of it.

Cut and Paste below or click through to the article. www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2011/07/15/137824732/austrian-man-wins-right-to-wear-pasta-strainer-in-license-photo?sc=fb&cc=fp

Austrian Man Wins Right To Wear Pasta Strainer In License Photo

In Austria one of the strangest fights for religious freedom has come to an end: Niko Alm, a self-described "Pastafarian," fought for three years for the right to wear a pasta strainer on his head in his driver's license photo.

His argument? Alm claimed he belonged to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and wearing the strainer was part of his religion.

The BBC reports:

Mr Alm's pastafarian-style application for a driving licence was a response to the Austrian recognition of confessional headgear in official photographs.

The licence took three years to come through and, according to Mr. Alm, he was asked to submit to a medical interview to check on his mental fitness to drive but - straining credulity - his efforts have finally paid off.

It is the police who issue driving licences in Austria, and they have duly issued a laminated card showing Mr. Alm in his unorthodox item of religious headgear.

That is possibly the point.

Even Pastafarian needs a leader to tell them what is bad and wrong.

They need to unite in church and pray, handle attributes (baseball cup) and driving licence.
HELL WITH THEM ALL !!!
They have this awful Spaghetti Monster that will eat for sure all our's virgins !! (or worse )

Pastafarian church and their flocks.

Bloody hell, another religion thread. This and politics, if we had a moderation crackdown at the moment we'd lose half of the front page.

I'm sorry but you Pastafarians are not even in the race when it comes to funny religions. The Bible wins the prize for funny, silly, absurd stuff.

For example, Exodus chapter 28 verses 42-43 says that Aaron and the priests must wear special undies or God will kill them.

See earlier chapters for God as fashion designer, interior decorator and bbq consultant and all round psychotic loon.

Haha, yes I agree, not the place for religious discussion. I thought this may lighten the mood a little.
