I don't think air conditioning is needed in the home if you live in Perth.
A fan is sufficent, it's not the Pilbara.
Average max average in Perth in jan/feb/March is around 31 degrees Centigrade.
The rest of the year is lovely,just hard to get through these 3 months.
Thinking of moving to New.Zealand or Tasmania.
Auckland 23 average max,Taraunga 24 average max,Wellington only 20 average max,but very,windy according to wiki.
Hobart from memory, 19.7 average max is too cold.

^^ siiick today, just enough wind, big swell and the reform was standing up hollow as a mofo
but only for a couple of hours before the wind dropped and swung and now it is hot (ish) again

Looking at the Seabreeze forecast for the coming week it will be averaging 40c for Perth, great.
My Cruiser usually takes 2 km for the engine temp to reach half way (running temp), today it was there by the time I pulled out of works car park. Yesterday after over two hours I jumped in the car and it was still at running temp, might Google cool suits
