We named a place after a Barby ![]()
"It's a pleasant, easy going name to have the area simply known as Elizabeth Quay," he said.
"It commemorates the reign of Her Majesty and will be a constant reminder of the unique and very special event - the Big Aussie BBQ - held in this spot."
Barni is becoming classier by the day! We have the only place in the world commemorating an "historical" BBQ site! That is soooooooooooooooo OZ!![]()

No better way to be reminded than to dig it up, create a "bay" and surround it with another lot of well serviced "high end" cafes and restaurants that Perth is famous for.
Watch out Bunnings, your weekend sausage sizzles are going to be under threat.
I just hope there will be a giant green plastic BBQ erected in Barnies Bay to compliment that tasteful and architecturally magnificent giant green cactus in Forrest place.
I love that cactus! The lime green is just so bright and cheery every morning.
I see it completes a pair to the yellow red and black one outside that building in the Sydney CBD.
But ours is much more exuberant/out there.
PS Elizabeth Quay is naff. I did but hear she passed by recently, but I stayed well away.
I love the promo shots of the yachts sailing around Lizzy's Lagoon. I can't wait for Commander Colon to blow up the bridges & dredge Perth water so I can sail my ocean racer up to St Georges tce!!!
