Need some pointers on editing digital photos.
What do people use? Photoshop?
Prefer something simple!
If you have Windows 7 you may want to try Windows Essentials - it has a good photo manager and I have used the editing tools - easy and work very well.
It's free and there's plenty of tutorials etc for it.

There's also The GIMP, or GIMPshop, which is the same program made to look and act like Photoshop. Both are free and work very well.
I am learning lightroom and I don't find it all that logical.
Depends pug what level you want to do.
Picasa does straighten, crop, fix light levels, saturation, basic effects like sepia etc. Also has a blemish/touch up tool for small hides.
The latest photoshop has 'content aware fill', google it, amazing. But harder to learn, you need to get your head around layers/masks.
Paint shop pro is like a slightly dumbed down version of photoshop, easy to make nice graphic effects.

Mrs Pugsie is doing her diploma in photography and has arrived at the first module which involves digital touch-ups... I think we have Picasa - but I have no idea how to use it
Also have Corel 10 - I was pretty good with that around 10 yrs ago... Is PaintShop Pro the Corel thing that Mr Google found for me
