I live in Crawley and the council wankers have put in so many roundabouts that I'm dizzy by the time i've gone 2km from home.
YES they slow traffic down, and I know that there's a real hate for speed bumps but this is taking the p!ss. The visibility to the right of some of them make them more dangerous than the previous give way sign system.
Would love to see about 30% of the traffic lights here replaced with decent sized roundabouts that let traffic flow. But these 5m diameter ones that you can pretty much drive straight through are pointless and dangerous.
Phew!!! Rant over until I get started on the 5000km of road dividers they're putting in. At least we have plenty roundabouts do u-ys on.
And my point is..... dunno, but the financial crisis seems to be easing so can we please stop employing road workers for the sake of it.
Don't be like that. These round abouts give us a whole new version of playing "chickens of the road".
