Hi,

Me and the wife are arriving in Sydney next week for six weeks up the coast, and I want to know if I should pack my 3mm wetsuit?

I've had conflicting advice so far. Some say no (Warmest water of the year), some say yes (bluebottles).

What do you guys reckon?

SUNNY COAST - 23-24 Deg C at present. 6 weeks time likely within a degree.
Further north 200+ kms likely stay stable.
Stingers - yep some always around - but dominantly after a few days of solid NE'ly
Long sleeve Rashie / board shorts covers if it is a problem.

I get wet 4 -5 times a week Boards / swimming / Kiting (never enough)- once this season opted not to go in due to stingers.
Having said that I always wear a shortie - SPF50+ and no stingers around the jewelry.

Full 3 mm will be hot.

The worrying thing about that photo is that Captain Condom is wearing shiny brown leather shoes. Surely they should be something furry. Ugg boots mebbe?
