The Easybeats. Looks like a bit of a doco about them and I think the show is narrated by Doc Neeson from The Angels, if my ear for WSFM compo ads is working.
So far so good so a bit of a heads up for SA and WA viewers.
In 1965 Stevie Wright had it off with Gracie Lory who won the Radio 4IP (Ipswich, Queensland) competition for a date with "The Easybeats".
A couple of weeks before I took Gracie up into my empty dormitory at Ipswich Boy's Grammar School during the school dance and I was too stupid to do anything about it despite being told earlier by one of the day boys that "She bangs like an outhouse door in a cyclone." She was a spunk too.
I often wonder how my life would be today if either one of us had taken the initiative that night.
Yeah the thought had crossed my mind.
Good doco...most Aussies don't realise the importance of The Easybeats & how important they were in shaping the music industry for this country. Friday on my Mind...still listen to it regularly! Shame their fame & music couldn't have lasted longer...

Not to mention that Vander & Young produced the early Acca Dacca albulms and heaps of other Oz talent etc etc etc.
Poor old Steveie went thru the ringer and back and so forth until the ringer busted!!
