Hi
I just bought a wagon style car
I used to put my car keys and wallet and extra kite in the boot in my previous car but with this one the are so accessible for thieves.

I'm thinking about a roof top box, let me know what's my best option and what did you do for this issue?

Thanks for your time

Rolla & Thule, see the guys at Auto Extra in Osborne Park, they will sort you Ask for Adam.

A mate of mine uses one for his boards, works well..

Thule looks good but it's all plastic, they can open it with a screw driver! (I might be wrong as I do not have any knowledge in this field)

Get the Thule one that opens from both sides and locks from both sides.

If they want to get in they will if they are keen.

I know you're kidding but I was actually thinking about putting a roof basket and bolt a tool box with lock on top of it

What type of wagon have you got? Has is got a cargo blind, or can you get one?

Cargo blind is a smart idea but the back sits are sleeping very easy and it makes that area accessible.
(If I can't find a safe roof box I'll put cargo blind)

The basket with the toolbox idea was the funniest one Ive heard for a while
When I was working for Hyundai we had a Santa fe in for servicing and some one had made roofracks out of aluminium scaffold, wildest bit of dodgy engineering Ive ever seen [}:)]

Funny, not what I was thinking but good idea, altho the weight on a Tuscon mite be a bit much unless it was aluminium.

I hate the bastards as well dont worry.

Seems like Perth has a real problem with theft from cars and theft in general. Why doesn't the government and police do something about it?

Respecting someone else's property is what separates us from the apes.

Too much TV mate, Police only get involve if they can cash it up.
Look at all the speed cameras, each photo is at least $100, how much each armed thieve will make for them?
Which one is the easy cash?
There you go, now you are getting it

Approved

Use tamper proof stainless bolts tho and heaps of thread lock otherwise it will end up on the road behind you, not a good look

I have had one kite bag and pump taken from the beach and my mate has lost 3 pumps (stopped taking bags to the beach 3 years ago)
