I've spotted a nice looking ebay board. Want it. Problem! - Seller on East Coast, buyer on West.
Anyone had this problem? Dealt with it successfully without making the cheap board two very expensive objet d'art for Simondo? Tips please.
I've bought boards before its not too bad, ask who he sends it with and tracking number. I got two bogan boards sent over it cost me 70 bucks each for transport they came in a week all good bubble wrapped. I also bought a alawai brand board a year or so ago but when it got here the fcs plugs wouldn't tighten and the fins were all over the show sent back and took 4 weeks for a replacement that snapped in three months...... The bogan boards though are good and at 400 bucks landed well worth it. Check his reviews, sorry I can't remember who the seller was
I live in Sydney and have bought 3 used sailboards from Perth on different occasions. Mine were placed in cardboard cartons (ie. the original box that sailboards come in) and had the nose and tail covered in bubble wrap. I don't remember the freight cost, but it wasn't extravagant.
I've also shipped surfboards from Brisbane to Sydney and the shipping was only about $25. Same deal, bubble wrapped and boxed.
