Hello guys,
Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have a fishing forum?.
Seeing as fishing is a very popular sport.
I think it would be good idea because it would give people the chance to share their catches and get some helpful fishing tips
How do you think we would have this? I thought we could have a fishing general, and a fishing forum for every state e.g
fishing Victoria, fishing Tasmania etc...
What do you reckon?
Cheers

Nup no fishing ..... Isn't this a 'wind sport' forum? The common link is the use of the wind.

Just 'Google' australian fishing forum there are at least 4 big forums out there on the subject already !!!!!!

No, hooking a fish through the lip and hauling ashore it kicking and thrashing is not a sport, although sometimes necessary if you need dinner. This is a sporting way to catch fish but, rightly, has been banned.

I'm starting to dislike the sport of fishing.....the fishos with there 10 rods 100 hooks, lures and devices reaping the sea from what ever they can hook and some don't even like eating fish! Catch and release oh yeah with there jaws hanging ripped by a hook and there guts blown up....oh yeah they will survive at least a day or so!

Or maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy sorry!

I know heaps of fishermen who check on seabreeze for wind and sea forecasts... I'm sure a fishing forum would bring lots more traffic to the site which can only be a good thing . If you don't like fishing just don't go onto that section of the site.

No jet skis, no RC planes, Definitely no fishos. They are all natural enemies of wind sports.

To be honest I'm not even sure the surfing forums should be encouraged on here.

and a power boat forum??

We all or most have overlapping interests - I kite surf, LB and SUP and for me all good.

I make comment on the sailing forum and these guys are excellent with their help and positive attitudes

I'm a 'fisho' but don't think that seabreeze needs a forum for it. Other sites cater for us fisho's adequately thanks.

The rumours are true!

If you heard that we're ocean junkies, we admit it. We can't get enough of being in or on the water. What drives you? A howling 30 knots, a solid 6 foot swell, or maybe a complete glass off so you can drop a line in?

1. How many forum members don't own some sort of fishing gear?
2. A fishing section could be used to express concerns of any overlapping territory's!
3. A vast majority of sail boats and or yachts carry fishing gear (is this for decoration or performance)?
4. A fishing section could be used to encourage sensible fishing practices and acceptable community protocols.
5. So you can drop a line in? Does this mean toss in an anchor or some other secret gear unknown to the rest of mankind?
6. Land yachting! This can't be done on or under water but it is sailing, usually more common on beaches I would imagine.
7. FISHING, like Land Yachting can be shore based, but you can also fish from a boat, yacht, canoe , kayak, or any thing else that floats well enough to support you and your gear!
8.That would be interesting, a Stand Up Paddler dragging a lure across the sand flats! There should be enough room for a small Esky.
9. At the end of the day a fishing section is another place to share our thoughts and feelings on how we use, what we did or saw on or in the water today.
10. Lastly it can only make a great forum better!

Love my fishing but there are too many contrasting opinions on this site for a fishing forum to make sense.

Don't want to get sucked in to a debate about the virtues of fishing but just say that the same as any activity there are a few dropkicks that really give the rest a bad image. I'm sure that the kiters will know what I'm getting at.

But if you go to those specialist forums you mention you'd get preached to by the converted. Here those subjects are just a passing interest of wind sporters hidden way over yonder in the heavy weather forum that no one goes to. But if you did go there, you'd get a balanced argument.

ha, no no, i got a buddy up here that loves Ian Knight, his always talking about how great Ian Knight is, especially about windsurfing, so, i think Ian Knight must be a great guy and great windsurfer, regardless of those facts, i think his correct about heavy weather, it can be ummmmmm a bit heavy i guess, but there is good debate about topics that would normally be hard to talk about, its good to have a chance to hear all peoples opinions, so as i said above, ok I think Ian is correct, as well as i dont care about fishing and i like reading heavy weather.

It seems that you have forgotten that Seabreeze isn't a democracy.

It is an ogliarcy controlled by the elite, known by some as the moderartii

These controllers are shape shifters that can change their amphibian form into that of plastic space toys, galahs and various computer generated avatars.

They are not here to allow free speech on subjects such as fishing, but to indoctorate the masses into staring at little green arrows to avoid civil unrest and uprisings against the moderartii.

They oftennn arrrgghhhhhhh let go, helpppppppppppppppppppppp
