Thanks Nebs - that should put to bed any arguments about windsurfing versus kiting (and it was in fairly light wind too). They'll probably think up some excuses about the water being too deep or the wind direction wasn't favourable.
PS - geez french spoken by those female newsreaders is damn sexy too ![]()
That's interesting. Beam reaching in bumps is not the kite's long suit. They always do well down wind though.
In kiting's defense
Slalom racing is still fairly new to the sport, so development of kit is still in it's infancy.
To my knowledge there is no professional slalom competition to seriously hone the skills needed.
In windsurfing defense there was some big kit being used which goes against the argument of kites being quicker in lighter winds
I think that the results are what every one knows.
In most sports they dont let the women compete with the men![]()
So we've proved that sailboards are faster over a slalom course.
So why are all you recreational windsurfers so slow? ![]()
