The term conspiracy theory was surely coined as a means of discrediting people
who don't accept everything they are being told by the media/establishment.
the term conspiracy theory is used to stop discussion in it's tracks,such as we are seeing now on seabreeze.
or if the discussion is allowed to continue, you are branded some kind of whacko by the sheeple.
example,
if you believe talk of this man-made gobal warming is a push to get a carbon-tax
implemented and/or to centralize power, then the sheeple will reply by saying next
you'll be telling me we aliens exist or stop being delusional in believing in this

The utter lack of wind this year and a **** season probably has something to do with the tension.
If you forget global warming for minute, surely the amount of diesel and coal exhaust fumes going up into the environment cant be good. Travel to a populated industrial city in the us, Europe or Asia and have a look. You can't see the horizon.

Ie none of those imported shrimps, oranges, etc cause they will cost more cause fossil fuel for transport will cost more.
In Australia everything is transprted, so a carbon tax will be pretty soft to start with until markets get the message that a new and cleaner energy source is a must.
This will also soften the blow of peak oil demand and diminishing supply.
