If you look really closely at that top gear segment (when they're drowning the car), there's a windsurfer in the background honking along.

PS Windaddict - it's Mal Meninga

My 1988 Isuzu Bighorn at Muriwai in N.Z.
5 days in the water before the tide let us have her back. Morale of the story, don't let anyone else drive your car on the beach unless you can afford to lose it.

Good thing it was a FORD - may have improved the performance.

I could almost take offence, but fair point

The recover truck was awesome, the driver was the only guy prepared to go to the beach to try a recovery.
It was a race to get my 4WD too, the tide moved quicker than we hoped and, rather than take the time to put my 4WD on the back of the truck, he just dragged it 20km to the beach exit at 40kmh or so. Then put it on the back once we were on safe land.

More of the big truck.

Um didnt you say that you lent your car to a friend who then drove it onto the beach? I almost drowned my Commodore wagon up @ Lanno so I cant really talk.

My friend was driving, I was 30m behind the car at the time. (Attached by a length of rope)

Yep Buster .....that's not a Shark.......its a Classic Ford Yella frollicking underwater

with its mate the trailer this is probably the result of foreplay on nearby land

and getting a bit over enthusiastic, not keeping one's mind on the job in hand/brake.

Can be caught on a lure or with a strong recovery chain

AAAHHHHHH...........anyone ....we may know !!!

The problem for all of the drivers concerned is that they weren't driving one of these Suzukis

High tide a problem? No sir!
