Ok being a 'Kiwi' and all, I cannot stand the slithery fu@$ers. The missis was doing the washing and then screamed snake. It was in the washing basket in amongths clothing. After poking around with a broom stick I found it behind the washing machine. Rang the local wrangler, he removed it and released it back into the bush out of town. After I had finished the washing, yes I now have to do the washing. I went to my beer fridge in the garage. Jumped out of my skin!! Another LARGER VERY ANGREY SNAKE
on top of an empty carton next to the fridge. Rang the snake wrangler back. Both were Guada's apparently very venomous. Think I'll have a couple of extra beers this arvo... Might sleep a bit
better!
What are the chances 2 within an hour, in the house?![]()
Forget the broomstick, evil fkers they are.
Buy a 12ga. Sacrifice the washing to 28gms of #7 shot from 10ft away

don't get caught harming them regardless how scared you are - if you do harm them don't tell a sole - up to $25k fine if you're caught...............snake handlers are usually pretty cheap/free or can be very $$$ - price is usually dictated by your attitude as nine out of ten are 'vollies'. When I did my handlers course we heard some pretty unrealistic expectations joe public demanded from the handlers - hence why I haven't registered with anyone outside of work environment even though the kit to purchase is realitively cheap and peoples' fears will have them pay more than enough to cover relocation costs.
Try living in the rainforrest, no screens and doors always open, lost count of the snakes. But then never had a venomous snake, only the ones that like to crush ya ![]()
This one was about 5M long going past house, and no never one that big in the house
Yeh the guy I called was good he relocates all sorts of animals. He asked for a 'donation' of 20 - 50 bucks. We gave him 50 per snake happily. I thought that was cheap to get a venomous snake out of my house. He really enjoys what he does, even had a go pro on his head.
When I was in the Kimberly the ranger would just come round with a shot gun, job done.![]()
I built a house with bush land out the back over seven years browns and reds all outside, moved 10ks away on water within weeks two massive browns in the same morning one between the pool and water the other on the side lawn nasty mothers.
We live right on the beach across the road from sand dunes and bush (mid west). It has been hot and think they might be looking for shade? The house is clean, 1 bin emptied daily to wheely bin away form house.
But now i think about it the missis has recently started compost close to back door with fruit and veg scraps![]()
nice yummy supply of cockroaches , mice , small lizards, looking for cockies and the occasional maggot, all part of lifes cycle, even the odd eggshell to lick out.
yum
She who must be obeyed has found 2 tiger snakes around the house, last 1was in the linen cupboard, young bloke thought he saw a mouse run in there so she had a look and whoo baby there it was , handy with 3 small kids in the house and me away at work( thank god , hate the bloody things lol). Anyway she is a good farm girl and set them both free ![]()
That creature was walking around my home yesterday night.
