Hey Babba
To obtain some good seed stocks go to diggers club .com.au they have an amazing variety of heirloom seeds. Mate we have a 1200sq metre block in Murwillumbah and the only lawn left is the council strip which I am slowly encroaching on. We have muscovy ducks, 12 chooks 41 assorted bush food and tropical fruit trees also interspersed among these various vegies growing. There is nothing more rewarding than sitting down to a meal that contains pretty much everything you have grown yourself my kids get up in the morning and sometimes just graze eating snow peas etc.
Good luck with the aquaponics I would grow fresh water crays or yabbies as most of the fresh water fish I have tried have been tasteless (unless smoked).
I try and grow things that are unusual or expensive in the shops Lychees, dragonfruits, finger limes, mangoes, chocolate sapote, garlic, fresh beetroot etc.

Cheers Boof

Hey. My Auntie and Uncle own 'hydroponicxpress' . massive amount of equipment and they are experts in setting up anything aquaponic. they have a working vegetable garden, fruit trees and tanks set up with fish. some of the stuff you can do is awesome. Anyway, if you go visit them, please tell them that Adrian sent you and they will look after you.

Cheers
