At my age and hatred of vaccines..
it will be a ""NO""
and apart from that "WHAT" swine flu?
At present I am strong and healthy enough to go through a flu.
and there were to many stories last year about it being a Hugh hipe..
so me NO way! ![]()
I would say no at this stage . Saying that Im wondering what the next strain of the flu will bring this year? I guess thats what paid sickies are for ![]()
If the people who make the vaccine are not even taking it, I would stay well clear.
Like a skinny chef, you just wouldn't eat his/her food.
nurses and doctors are the least vaccinated in community.
it is already starting to happen, that if you do not take swine flu jab, you will be refused employment. www.infowars.com/new-york-nurses-suing-state-over-forced-vaccinations/
this takes the choice away for many.
when you directly inject people, you are bypassing the bodies own defence mechanism.
meaning, swallowing poison down your throat not even close to being as bad for you as direct injection[of the same amount of poison] into the bloodstream.
I reckon that this has been one of the biggest con jobs the population has succumbed to yet. Bet anyone who had shares in Tamiflu made a motsa!
The people who make the vaccine certainly are taking it.
Get the jab and you reduce your chances of getting flu and the consequent days off work that entails and the burden you place on your family from being an invalid for a week or so...not to mention the possibility that you'll spread the flu to your family and friends (not good if you or they have young kids, elderly parents or pregnant wife). If you care about these things then makes total sense to get the flu jab. Weigh up these things against the very very very low probability of a severe adverse reaction from the jab.
It's all a 'probability game'. Just like the rest of your life. Your choice. But personally I find a well-informed choice a lot more comforting than an ignorant choice.
It's easier to do nothing. It's not necessarily the right course of action.
p.s. vaccines do not 'by-pass' the bodies own defence mechanism. If you think this then I suggest you get better informed before you make your choice.
I get a flu jab every year without fail.
My employer offers it to me if i want it.
Never had any side effects and don't feel that the gov't has implanted me with any microchips to monitor my whereabouts.
Recommend the jab as opposed to not being able to get on the water.
I was forced by a previous employer to get the flu jab, "2005" I refused and got sick for a week, like I have every year. "2006" he said take it or your fired, so I did 2 weeks later I was sick, very very sick for 2 months ( flu sick ).
4 years later and now I get flu symptoms every 3 -4 months and it last about 2 weeks at a time, since I had the jab.
So my thoughts on any vaccine are slightly diminished.
My doc suggested I have it. (I could tell she was as sceptical about the need for it as I was, but what the heck). Had it. Made not a scrap of difference. I was healthy before and I remained healthy after. Same went for the missus.
Of course, some people here would say that doctors don't know the different between aspirin and arsenic so maybe she injected me with a saline solution. Or cyanide. Who knows? Life is a gamble.
Used to get the jab, but local doc (old-fashioned guy) said "you big, strong...you no need medicine" (he is also a 'New Aussie'
). Haven't had it for a couple of years now, haven't had as much as a cold! (touch-wood). Not sure I'd be as hesitant if I lived in a higher-density area, or had more contact wit the public...I'd probably take it!
before taking the 'shot',you should become aware of the ingredients.
from dr carley website.
Some additional ingredients in vaccines (as listed by the CDC on their website) include antibiotics, aluminum gels, formaldehyde, monosodium glutamate (MSG), egg protein, and sulfites. Thus, we have antibiotics (which you could be allergic to); aluminum (which when combined with dead neurons killed by mercury in vaccines as demonstrated in the video at
I'd expect some pretty 'heavy' ingredients in a vaccine, if it's to stay in your system for up to 2 years & kill all the nasties it's supposed to?!?
I've heard that some vaccines are actually a 'watered-down' version of the flu virus to help build the immune system? don't know if this is true, but it makes sense.
Since my kids have started school & daycare, they've brought home all sorts of bugs, and they're both fit & healthy...we're told it's good for their immune systems. As a contrast, I know a few that 'home-school' & never had their kids interract with others...they get sick & they get hit hard, poor little guys.
Vaccines don't stay in your body and they don't kill the "nasties".
The flu vaccine is the actual flu virus but has had the middle third of its DNA chopped out so it is "inactivated". With the middle third of the DNA removed it's no longer a flu virus (it can't replicate itself) so you can't catch the flu from it.
Your body's immune system just needs to be presented with the sequences of DNA from the two ends of the flu virus (i.e. the 1st third and the 3rd third - the middle third having been removed as detailed above). Your body's immune system detects these "ends" of the virus and produces antibodies to kill what it thinks is a virus. Your body then "remembers" this virus so if you subsequently catch the real flu then your body thinks "Oh, I've seen this before and pops off to its library of known viruses pulls out the antibody recipe that worked against the vaccine all that time ago and quickly gets to work making the antibodies that then go off and kill the real flu virus that you've just caught." The advantage of having had the vaccine is that your body already has the recipe it needs and doesn't need to work it out again so your body kills the virus much much quicker - often so quickly that you don't even know you caught it.
Aluminium may be added as an "adjuvant", i.e. it increases the efficacy of a given amount of vaccine, i.e. your body produces a quicker, more effective response against the inactivated virus for a given amount of vaccine, which means the injection volume can be less so more people can be vaccinated for a given amount of total vaccine produced. Cost effective and lower risk of adverse reaction against the vaccine. Traces of egg may be apparent because the virus is usually grown in a chicken egg before being extracted, purified and bottled.
cambodge sounds way more sensible than petermac33 so i'm getting a shot. gotta go now peter said they're watching me.
Thanks, cambodge. It's good to see a sensible post for a change.
As the poor relative pointed out, when I was a kid it used to be very common to see folks suffering from the aftermath of having once had polio, poor sods. Now it's very rare thanks to compulsory immunisation. If the government were microchipping us (which it isn't... at least not on planet Earth anyway) then I choose the chips.
sensible..... nothing sensible about being injected with mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde.
ring up the big phama companies or check the C.D.C [centre for disease control] own website for confirmation of these ingredients.
In general I am against flu jabs. I had one when I was a kid and I was sick afterwards. So no for me. I didn't get sick in the last swine flu panic and if I get sick this flu season I have plenty of sick leave.
As Cambodge said, the vaccine does not contain a live virus so you can't catch the flu from the vaccine, people who think they get sick from the vaccine are getting sick from another virus whether it be another flu virus or common cold type virus.
Vaccines don't cover every type of flu virus only the ones which is believed to be more prevelant or potent for the comming flu season, usually the ones which have been through the northern hemispheres winter.
As for having it, I vote yes with over 40 years of jabs and no side affects, people who should seriously consider having it are the very young as their immune systems are still developing, people with compromised immune systems(eg transplant recipients),people with pre existing conditions(eg lung diseases such as cystic fibrosis)and the very elderly.
Fit healthy people usually don't need to be vaccinated.
cambodge......Weigh up these things against the very very very low probability of a severe adverse reaction from the jab.
seriously, you have got to be joking.
5 years ago my younger sister went on holiday to India.
before leaving to India she took from memory around 4 different vaccines.
a week or so prior to her leaving, i stumbled on article from Good Medicine magazine
written by the editor on vaccines. ''weighing up the positive/negative's i do not recommend anyone of our readers take any vaccine.''
it was this article written in the editor's column of Good Medicine magazine that first got me to question vaccines.
i remember getting into a very heated debate with my sister and mum prior to her taking the shots.
i begged her not to,but fear won through.
i later found out that, straight after taking the vaccines, my sister felt very unwell. this lasted around the duration of her one week holiday.
my dad who is very pro-vaccine admitted to me, that when he was 16 years old, he had a vaccine and ''got sick as a dog''.
my best friend Tony got a vaccine a few hours after being born. his whole body turned blue and he very nearly died.
have to agree with japie [for once] on this......I reckon that this has been one of the biggest con jobs the population has succumbed to yethttp://www.avn.org.au/News-and-Events/
^^ eggsacury formula.... runny nose, temps for about 24 hours.
My 18 month old son had the swine vaccine a week ago,
guess what, he is still alive! ![]()
formulanova......Peter, did your sister contract any of the things that she was immunized against, or did she just feel unwell for a week?
she told me maybe a year or so later[many times] that she has hepatitis. she told me that she believes it was from the hepatitis vaccine she had taken prior to going on her holiday.
when i mentioned this to my dad, he went crazy and immed got on phone to my sister, who denied the whole thing!
and to this day still denies ever telling me she has contracted hepatitis.
work that out.
