$5.50 at the Melbourne Hotel, Bundaberg. It was so good I had to have another.

When they have done the refurb on the bistro (got destroyed in the floods at Christmas), they will be putting them on a plate with mashed potatoe, mushy peas and gravy and selling the package for $16. Yuuummmm.

Is it un-Australian to eat a pie with a knife a fork???

You need the knife to seperate the crust from the tray and the fork to extract the super hot chunks of beef (steak, not mince).

It is un-Australian not to eat the best meat pie you can lay your hands on.

Best Pie in WA!
Beef & Guinness pie or chicken and mushroom pie, family size @ Karinyup shopping centre butcher shop
Finger licking good so good I had a full one at lunch by myself too good to share, top quality meat, lean chunky beef no gristles or fat. The meat melts in your mouth!
10 over 10 @ $19.00 but big size!

A mate (Chef) used to own a local restaurant/cafe - steaks & produce from the day before (talking hand-picked scotch-fillets, fresh mushies, onions!) and whatever else he could lay his hands on went into them....mmmm. Go Pies! haha

Here's another one.

Down the Sth Coast recently (Tomakin near Broulee) and the general store/cafe had all home made goodies...
....including this delicious pie.
To quote "We don't do sauce, but we do have a tomato chilli relish!"

Sensational part of the coast - great beaches, food, coffee etc

That is one impressive photo wineman.

I particularly like the china plates, silver cutlery, the side bowl of what must be home made relish, and that lovely cup of black coffee next to it.

Who served it to you (what did he/she look like, did they present it with a smile, did the establishment come across as clean?)

I find that sort of stuff just as important as the what is being put on your plate.

Now that's a f'cn pie!!
