Pretty mad technology floating around these days. iPhone5 is probably just around the corner, etc.

I have "EyeTV" on the computer (TV on The Computer Screen - mouse operated, plugged into a TV Point). I just realised the "iTV" rip off just now. But it's pretty good. Costs about $100 with minor negotiations. Comes with the software, TV Coax Cable into USB Port, etc. You can probably do it for free these days, with free / pirate software, and some gadgets from Tandy / Dick Smith. But I reckon the $99 I paid was good value, rather than stuffing around with Dodge Websites, and trying to figure out what I need from Dick Smith, and keeping my fingers crossed, hoping it then works....

EyeTV has "Pause Play", nice and easy to use. It's available from JB HiFi. Seems to be a licensed product, so 1 Computer only, and probably need to contact them when you change computers. Delicense, relicense...

You can hover around 5-10 minutes behind real time, and just click along the bar to ELIMINATE advertisements! I like it a lot !!

Yes, we have FoxIQ. TV on the computer is pretty handy though.

I got this Coax into the USB thing and recording program etc with my virus software for free as a promo from the Good Guys.

It was handy when the Quik Pro was on 1 HD this year. I could leave it running through the speakers and click back on from work when they were on waves.

Other than that I haven't used it again.

Same here Simondo! had it for a few year now and love it.

You can set it up to record a series and export it to iTunes to watch on TV later with an apple TV. With Ice TV E.P.G. it makes it all simple.
I'm addicted to ABC and SBS docos and have a heap recorded to watch, when I get time..
Only problem is you need a bit of Hard drive space if you want to keep any of it.

But exporting to iTunes makes the files way smaller.

Can't remember the last time I watched an advert!

Actually, I'm watching RocKwiz, recording Air crash investigators and posting this message all at the same time.

If you put your home movies in iTunes you can also watch them through apple TV inc all your digital photos.

As a side thought...
I't is becoming more important for people to backup / manage their digital life as we start to store more things digitally.

We almost need a international "Backup Day"

I have heard of a few people losing all their kids baby photos because they do not backup. Hard drives will fail one day for sure.

Personally i have 2 x 1Tb hard drives in RAID1 mode for my "media" where they make copies of each other.
Using the Macs Time machine software, keeps it all backed up nice and easy.

Love it.

Edit: I knew it was a good idea!
