I'm in the process of getting a design registered & as such require the services of a tech drawer to complete the submission process, any on here willing to complete this before i fly to site next thursday? - it should be fairly basic to draw.
Thanks for the replies guys - sorry I have had to fly back to site but all going to plan will be back tomorrow afternoon................... the proposed product is for mining and that simple it isn't funny - sorry won't go into too many details until I've submitted my design and made my first million - nah just kidding, expect to shift 40 units a year has been the indication provided by the company who will be the sole distributors - so enough for a new board & pocket money for the wife. Matt, I'll call you once I land in Perth
Sail hack, I only did a two year Diploma at Tafe for the qualification, no Uni, no HECS.
2 years to do engineering drafting too should have done it instead in hind sight.
^ 'Architectural Draftsperson' - same (Building Designer)...sorry Toots, thought the "big 'A'" meant that you were an 'Architect' - (5 years at Uni?) unless industry experience to match.
I did my dip. alongside Building Surveyors, and if I had picked up a few more subjects I could've added that to my qualifications (doh!) Now to be an Arch drafty it's a 3-year 'Advanced dip.' - so I decided to get registered before they made me go back for another year of torture sitting in a room full of kids asking questions like - "what's a nogging?" & "does the lintel go on top of the window or under it?" & my personal favorite when asked "now you all know which orientation is best for energy efficiency for a house in Vic?"...answered by one of the classmates "facing toward the view?" (I had several 'quiet' facepalm moments.) ![]()
HAHA, don't worry about the facepalm moments at tafe, they're allowed to be dumb there.
The problem is, those kids end up getting qualified and taking their facepalm giving abilities with them throughout their career.
I work as an engineering design draftie and the amount of stupid I see is amazing; I've seen what those kids become, guys who have been in the industry decades longer than me and they still can't project a plan and elevation correctly.
