There used to be a fishing forum, but I think it got canned because of the continual photos of peoples raping, pillaging and slaughtering of our fish stocks.
I may be mistaken though

Hey Elmo, I think it was words alone that saw it canned... There are still plenty of pictures of dead animals in the Photos section...
The fishing forum was a Hoot to read.
It was more firey than Victoria in February and about as politically correct as my poor attempt at humour.
I think Laurie forced himself to "can it" in the end so it would be unlikely to see it last if it returned to it's former glory.

Yes, a good idea as fisho's are here more now for the weather and I see it as more a site for all water activities now than just for the wind/kite surfers.
BUT i do agree with elmo's comments above. See it all the time. "Bloody shame". 
The forum would be good to share and discuss all aspects if fishing, be them for the good or not so good reasons. People need to know (educate and discuss).

After spending all day yesterday (150kms) trawling/trolling for tuna, finally landing one (very unlucky fish, mind you) @15kgs...I don't think I come under the banner of 'rapist/pillager' of the ocean!

Seeing how the wind has seemed to dissappear from weekend daylight hours (there's been wind every week, but every weekend for over a month has been >10kts!) and daylight savings means no w/surfing after work, but great night beach fishing...
I say bring it back.

Sailhack, nice catch and Im sure you will agree, its the fun of being out on the water and a "catch " is a bonus.
Benz, try the Port Kennedy beach or the tip of Piont Peron. Both good spots and "kids" friendly.
