Just watched some footage on the ch9 news with the fake collar bomb hoax guy, Paul Douglas Peters who was sitting in the the very last row of the plane on flight to Australia flanked with plain clothed policemen. Anyone else see it?
Freak'n bizarre story. The camera crew were on the flight and filmed him going to the toilet with all his minders. It's a very strange story but the publicity on it is fever pitch.
Did Paul Douglas Peters who I've read about and saw on the plane do this? why? how is this going to playout? How long till the mini series comes on TV?
From what I read in the paper just after the event, they've got him nailed. He used his credit card to buy the usb stick that had the ransom demands on it, there was a deleted 'word' document with his name as the author on the stick, and there is video footage (cctv) of him checking the e-mail account that the ransom demands were to respond to. I was impressed with what the cops came up with TBH.
Yeah the media reports seem to indicate the guy is going to get put away for a long time.
But there is still something fishy about the whole story...
This story is the media's wet dream.
I heard some stupid woman who was on the same plane who was interviewed about it. She said she didn't know the fake bomber was on the plane. She was glad neither her family or herself didn't know as they would have been worried.
WTF? Was he going build or take fake bomb onto the plane and demand booty?
Yeah this story is a bit dodgy. Whats the bet there was some business deal where the alleged hoxer got ripped off or something like that.
Meanwhile dodgy politicians get their staffers to cover for their drink driving escapades.
I remember the interview with the folks shortly after, the old man's story was too contrived and for me ,came across as Mr smarmster, gosh do not want to interupt the girls exam preparation", meanwhile the girl had a collarbomb removed, it's got dodgy business deal written all over it and hopefully all will be revealed to satisfy our goulish intrigue of "the days of their lives" The media will be camped out the front with live crosses to the morning presenters . As that Olympic chap said" let the games begin". Or even as our Leyton would say " cumorne"
