So the St Kilda boys went to far , saw the interview tonight, I , personally think that to denigrate , Anyone, because of Anything, is Absolutely, WRONG,
BUT , listening to his explanation of the said occurrence, FFS , look at the marathon runners who were seriously burnt, look at the young lady who had metho squirted on her and set alight
Again,,,,, look at this little (sorry lefty, do gooders) bloke having a squark, he felt some heat on his butt, he was hired as entertainment, (this is not what I know, it is what was ,presented on the news) and sat and drank water an a wall for 2 hours @ $125 phr , not bad rate . so the boys got p.ssed off because of the poor entertainment , and what they did was WRONG!!!!.
And this gets front line headlines for 3 days F@ck off , toughen up little man![]()
Nah, more power to him. People treated him like sh1t and he didn't stand for it. Neither would you if someone set your arse on fire.
I hired the other little guy - Arthur - for an event about 10 years ago.
I made him dress up as a mexican with a big sombrero hat - in the middle of his hat was salsa and around the edges were Natchos. I gave him a megaphone and he was shouting 'chips and dips' as he walked through the crowd.
It was a low act, but on the flip side, I'm sure they'll get heaps of work out of it.
I was set alight as a 1st year apprentice a few times when I would walk past the glaziers area in a large joinery shop I worked in. I'd go to get the glass I need & one would squirt me with a mix of metho & turps, the other guy would walk past with a lighter & light up my leg - very funny (not!). The fact that I was carrying a piece of glass made it difficult to put the flame out and those guys got a kick out of it - as did many others in the workshop. Luckily, due to the low burn-heat, neither my clothes or skin ever got damaged...if that was done to me now, I could probably retire on the proceeds from the legal case & ACA/TT interviews! ![]()
Part of the work that these performers do (not just dwarfs, but anyone in that 'hire-for-event' type industry) is based on them ridiculing themselves & being a target for mindless humour. Regardless of whether he worked hard or not (maybe the hirers should've checked his references first) - there's no excuse for that kind of assault. Too many professional footballers (both codes) are proving themselves to be absolute mindless !diots.![]()
I agree guys, what a bunch of fools to be treating someone this way , no matter who they are , the point I am getting at is , the fact that he put himself out there to act the clown, or whatever you call it, that's his chosen profession. sounds like his poor little bum (pun not intended), just got a little hot , there was no mention of 1st, 2nd or burns of any kind, and he has accepted the apologly.
This story requires to be headline news for 3 days, FFS
. As his employment requires him to ( his choice) be poked fun at to get a laugh, I still say toughen up , what happened was an act of stupidity,
if he is to continue in this line of work , take a few lessons of how to handle things from someone who has made a good living out of this line of work![]()
