On second thoughts it may be either a Banjo Ball or a Fiddler Sphere.

So, you are going to sell out the human race for a nice 3x1 under $350k and a 10% pay rise ?

I am thinking for 3 billion souls you may be able to drive a slightly harder bargain.

lol - SMH, right up there in terms of reliable reporting

So does the sphere have a circumference of 1.1 metres or a diameter of 35cm, because the article says it has both

Circonference = diameter X 3.1416 = 0.35 x 3.1416= 1.09956 m
Close enough!

Um....that is the correct measurements for a sphere, so yes it has both.

Circumference is pi x D

Shiiiiit! That where it ended!!! I told Johno that he should not make his potato gun into a pumpkin gun and shooting that big alloy ball over the horizon was not a good idea!

It could have both, the numbers are pretty close to right,
as circumference and diameter are two different measurements
Circumference -
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CircumferenceThe circumference is the distance around a closed curve.

Diameter -
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DiameterIn geometry, a diameter of a circle is any straight line segment that passes through the center of the circle and whose endpoints are on the circle.

Mythbusters again.

After their last "effort" with cannonballs, they probably had to find somewhere that didnt need insurance cover.
