Don't tell me to go sailing, this is at night.

(Actually that character Tina is quite a cute little girl... )

Buy a PVR and make her record it so that she can watch it when you are not around. Tell her its so she can skip the ads.

Sure can...
Last night I had Chicken stir fry w/ watercress, ginger, broccoli, bamboo shoots.
Night before Lamb shanks with red wine and mushrooms + Burioni rice.
She makes a lot indian food too, but I think her roasts (lamb/chicken) are the best... home made Yorkshire puddings, butter roasted tateoes, snips, ...hmmm.

I make a pretty good tasting lamb curry... wood smoke the lamb , plus I grow my own super dangerous chillies.
We're about tied for puddings... my Whisky tart ice cream rocks! Her Trifle is good.

But she doesn't cook stuff she sees on the living channel, TLC... + she fancies the Man vs Food guy.

Startrek sessions 1-3 are out on bluray and remastered... they look good even in 4:3, and the stories are still the best.
X-Files are being remastered now.

Do what my missus does to me every time there is a footy match or Chuck Norris movie on - Try and start a meaningful conversation.
*Warning* this may back fire and you'll end up having to have a meaningful conversation.

This is what mine does... Important conversation in movie/tv program.

Mrs: Blah blah blah
Me: [Enable] Mrs filter > filter failure
Mrs: What did they [movie] say?
Me: How the f am I supposed to know when you're yapping away
Mrs: You're always rude to me... what did they just say.
...
I've been telling her for 14 years to ask me questions after the movie... has it worked? Marginally.

This is both devious and deviant, I like it !

One of those "how do you feel?" and "how was your day?" chats.
Yes, I see the danger though. I'll try it, but only when Tina is not on
