Ireckon he might lose that fight, so what he needs to do is cut all he seed bearing branches off the tree before the council does, save the seeds and grow thousands of them all over the suburb. silly thing is that the reason these trees fall over and drop branches in the wind is cos some twit cut down the tree that was upwind, and the one that was upwind of that............
planting MORE big trees rather than cutting them down is a more realistic soln. but try and tell a council or their insurers

Nice to see someone standing up for something they believe strongly about.
As an apathetic society we should do it more.

He's a knob.

Landyacht the particular species gum tree is prone to dropping branches even if sheltered.

What complaint does he have? Really the council has to cut it down as they could be sued if it kills or injures somebody. He should sit on the steps or Parliament or the Supreme Court protesting our litigous society and stupid lawsuits.

PLUS the Concil is cutting them all down and replacing with other trees! An actively growing tree uses more CO2 so is better for the environment.

It is not like they are cutting down heaps to build a new sub-division or shop or office block etc!!

I think the council should actively cut down the dangerous trees
Im sure if he proposed a plan to regrow endangered vegetation and look after it he would be in a better position for a resolution. Thus be supported.

I have a 5 acre block and have applies to the department of environmental protection to clear> they allowed us to only clear 2000 square of a block thats over 27 thousands metres square.due to the rarity of the natural fauna.

If we look at trees as a whole the state and federal government are doing all they can to sustain trees and forrests for the future.Farmer can no longer clear.

On the flip side of this open debate about clearing we must look at the farming community
www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/breakfast/nsw-farmer-continues-hunger-strike-over-laws/3073114
If this particular person did he research he would know that now with global warming its evident that to sustain a healthy lifestyle man must stop clearing. the government has done this.

Im sorry poor relative this guy is a douche and is seeking attention. (probably like myself.)
This tree man is a drug fffd bum and is living in a dreamworld.
The council will bury and probably his next of kin with finds.
Not a smart person.

This tree hugging selfish bum should do his homework before making a scene.
I think he plays to much WOrld or Warcraft.

most people i know that age in ROCKINGHAM have a dingy and go fishing crabbing and fishing!!!

I agree his passion is misguided and he comes across as a bit of a twat
However its still nice to see someone standing up for their belief
