Help,
I can't seem to get my two piece shark apart. Has anyone had this problem before because I'd be really grateful for some advice?

Tie one end to a rented van, and the other end to a tree. (You can use the icicle hitch for this if the shark is really cold) Get your mate to drive the van away while you film the shark separating.

Another method is to put one end of the shark on a chair, stand on the middle of it, then insert a bit of card into any cracks that open up, turn the shark over, and repeat. Don't be afraid of breaking the shark - they're designed to bend like that.

I've also heard that hitting a shark on the bottom with a mallet can cause the two parts of the shark to bounce off each other and separate enough to get it started.

Alternatively, if you get the right fittings from a plumbing place, you should be able to attach a garden hose to one end of your shark, and let the water pressure seperate your shark into pieces.

You should always wrap insulation tape around your shark before using it because that will stop sand getting in the cracks.

sounds like you've got sand in your crack !!! Just put a hose up the hole and blast it apart with water pressure... If this dosnt work, get a good grip however you can and PULL as hard as you can, for as long as you can....

Invest in some tape and put it around the join and your shark will always come apart you silly silly sausage.
And don't worry you get about six sails out of one bit of tape just wrap it around one end of your shark for safe keeping

I can't believe this hasn't been suggested yet... But try using a gun, find dead center and just keep shooting. If you can get your hands on a smokey then you will have a better chance to get it apart, good luck

Yeh, sure do and they only came in grey - gave you terrible splinters unless you wore some gloves. I guess the newer ones don't do that because of evolution.
