Howdy... I 'popped' the seam above the knee on a 1yr+ old short arm Billabong 202 steamer today - the panel join was one of the un-stitched 'rubber weld' joins (it just popped open like a chip packet for about 12-15cm).

Hoping a Breezer can point me in the direction of someone who repairs wetties in Perth - pref North of the river.

Thanks in advance.

Not NOR sorry ...... but West in O'connor will take any brands I think, else Scirocco wetsuits in Freo

BUT some brands have long warranty on seams, I know my West has unlimited warranty on seams, and I am sure my Ripcurl was at least 5 yrs or so..... so have you tried the warranty path?

if all else fails.......superglue works!

fond memories of working at a big beachside hotel/resort in perth.

having to superglue a rather buxom young lass into a latexy catsuit thing.
her suit had torn itself down the seam next to the zipper when she tried doing it up.

she had to try and hold her boobs together so I could (in my most professional manner) glue the suit together without glueing myself to her boobs at the same time

we were both giggling like schoolkids at the time!

hope her hubby appreciated my efforts!

wouldnt be surprised if I bragged about that particular job before, kinda hard to forget the good ones, and helps me forget the more common crappy stuff I had to put up with.

Thanks guys... Greenwood is right next door, so will google the number for Jam...

And the dental floss / contact adhesive is a good one... I've got some super tough black nylon thread and windscreen sealer that I have used a number of times before - but on older wetties, and not on such a long split (in an area that will be under constant pressure).

Thanks again - much appreciated.

Dropped off the wetty at 10:30am - ready by 4:00pm - $30 for two big seam splits... gotta be happy with that.

Cheers for the tip Cruzin!
