haha I would be pissed of too if you let that stuff go to waste.... but lets dwell on the positives, Gary Ablett was most probably the best footballer ever, Wayne Carey also was up there, remember those and others for their ability rather than their indiscretions, its just media and public opinions that are questionable more so, its like throwing stones in glasshouse's

Life must be so **** after football for these "heros" on the field.

Seems like they all get on the gear sooner or later.

Bring back good 'ol Jacko.
Now, *that* was a smart, drug-free player in its days.
Well, drug-free at least, possibly not sure, still...

Yeah Ablett in 1989, epic then.

Typical...... , he would have crapped himself when the buzzer went off!!!!!

It said in the paper he refused the strip search , then left with his mate .

Just hope he doesn't get out of it and glass another girl friend !!!

He deserves all the bad publicity he gets.

Few people know that Jacko wrote a book in his playing days, called "Dumb like a Fox".

I know this... because someone gave it to me for xmas long time ago, presumably as a joke.

Liked the quote about a full-forward he didn't like on some other team (something like) "normally I stay deep in my pocket, but for this SOB I'm willing to make an exception, run the full field and kick his teeth in". Classy bloke he was.

yeah jacko was never dumb , no way ..... a big buffoon maybe but not dumb , did a lot of tours around the country for sportsman nights made big bucks ... he could play too don't worry about that , just liked being in front of an audience playing the fool/entertainer a bit more.
