What a great guy, and some outrageous but cool building ideas
..
I will be building in Exmouth soon so please send beer cans, bourbon botts , wine botts (dont bother to stress yourself emptying them , I can do that for you,)
A friend of mine years ago wanted to build a house from tyres filled with rammed earth, The local council didn't want a bar if it.
In the end he built a clone suburban house in the Adelaide hills, nice house but the alternative would have been SO MUCH better.
I remember this guy from the late 70's I believe he built
his earth house out in an area of very hot country (Nevada maybe?)
I think he built it half under the land to help with cooling and heating..
and they had a earth house movement that started around him.
There is also a movement in Europe ...with people building these sorts of homes..one guy wanted to build it in England..but to much council resistance so he moved his family to France and built it there.
Wow and he went to the Andaman islands and helped these people...wow..."fantastic"
Great clip Cassa.....I'll start you off with a slab of XXXX you can make yourself a nice letterbox![]()
