Big pat on the back for West.
I have a 4 y/o steamer that developed a split in one of the glued seams in the arm. It said "lifetime warranty on seams" when I bought it, but with some of the company "ethics" nowadays I thought they'd blame it on materials or glue quality out of their control and palm me off.
Took it in to their warehouse / head office in O'connor (big plus straight away - it is not overseas) and they fixed it straight away no questions asked. One week turnaround and as I said, no gripes just fixed, end of story. Didn't ask how old or where I bought it.
All my wetties from now on will be West, regardless of price.
Well done guys.
I took a rip curl there once with a Zip that i had ripped.
They charged me something like $20, fixed the zip and other nicks all over it as well.
West clearly give a sh!t for their customers.
My dad used to surf longboards with the bloke who owns West, probably 40 years ago at Avalon in Mandurah. We have always supported them over the years. Good family owned West Oz company.
I agree ,I have west about 5 years old, but no probs, or much sign of wear and tear , makes it a great product in my book.![]()
Picked up a West springy last year. Super stoked with quality, comfort and value.
Have since bought kids wetties and (unlike other brands) they are made to the same standards.
Great company that puts it's dough into the product rather than glossy mag ads and flash 'name' riders.
Great company, good wetsuits, rashies,...
Get on their mailing list, then you get notices about their factory sales.
Once my ripcurl is done Im going WEST. But not like the Petshop Boyz ![]()
They did a custom for a mate a few years a go and the service, fit, price was amazing. ![]()
I had a 3/2 steamer from them back in the late 80's which had a lot of use.
Gave it to my dad who uses it for snorkelling and helping bring in mates lobby traps. He is 81 and its still going strong with just the logo crackled.
great product!!!!
