Looking South from Currumbin Surf Club i saw 5 to 6 Lifegurds stationed between there and Coolangatta looking after 55 people in the water, i hour later i looked from main Beach Byron to The Pass, counting Surfboards there was 150 people in the water and 1 Lifeguard and he has to cover Wategoes and Tallows also and doesnt get paid either, is N.S.W. really that far behind when it comes to Beach Safety. Is it time to consider following the Queensland model?
