Everyone will have their own version of this:
Mine are but necessarily in this order as that changes with mood.

Foo Fighters - Everlong
Actually I could go on for a while longer, that's 11.
What's yours? How many of mine do you hate? No doubt some of them are commercial, are you too cool to like anything that has been a commercial success?
Not a bad list dude. Be impossible for me to name a top 10 thou. Love Tool, Foo's, QOTSA, Metallica, Eagles of Death Metal, Grinspoon, Green Day, Pearl Jam, A Perfect Circle, Probot....list goes on and on. Could make a top 10 for eveyday. LOL

hendrix voodoo child..
anyone that even picks up a guitar has to pay homage
ACDC - Hells Bells
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana = whole new genre, gotta be top 10!!)
Motley Crue - Kickstart my Heart
Silverchair - Freak
Blink 182 - Dammit
Metallica - King Nothing
Nickleback - Figured You Out
Linkin Park - In The End
No FX - Seeing Double at the Triple Rock
Led Zepplin - Whole Lotta Love
Jimi - Purple Haze (oops that's 11 but he has to be in there...)
All good singalong "get pumped up before hitting the waves" kinda songs ![]()
And yeah, fair bit of variety there ![]()
Have to agree with much of the above, add into the mix:
All along the watchtower
Evie, parts 1, 2 & 3
Sultans of swing (the very extended live version)
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Don't really agree Nirvana started a whole new Genre.
They were the first band to become well known but bands like Mudhoney, The Melvins and Sonic Youth to name a few were playing this kind of stuff well before them and influenced them.
It's a bit like saying The Living End started the Psychobilly thing when there were bands like the Fireballs playing it a long time before them.
That's why they are not on my top 10.
A lot of good songs mentioned above though. Hendrix Machine Gun is always a favourite of mine as well.
If I got right into it there would be some Hoodoo Gurus, Midnight Oil etc also but it is just a top 10 and it's always a subjective thing. Everyone has their own top 10!
