Last Monday lost a GoPro2 off Shoalwater near the jetty while kayaking and wondered what have you lost out on the water, must be the odd wedding ring or car keys. I suppose there was that time I lost a rig at Hole in the wall, Lancelin.![]()
Just lost half a carton of beer to a croc infested river! ![]()
Currently working in the Territory in a 'dry community'. Got my beer stashed in the bush on the other side of the Roper River. Quick storm over night and beer washed away! **** I hope a boatie finds it or it gets lodged in someones crab pot! Hate to see it go to waste!
I was on a beach a non 4wd area with a friend pissed as fork near cockburn power station back in the day...
any ways cut a long story short got bogged in friends 4wd spent 4 hours digging car out drunk and got home in his 4wd and then could not find my own keys.
Phoned up friend the next day after getting dropped of at home if my keys were in his 4wd and he checked all thru it could not find keys.
Spent 3 days excavating a pool size hole and walking to bogged spot with shovel and rake trying to locate my keys.
Gave up at day 4
Replaced personal gate keys broke into locker at work tool boxes etc...(after breaking into gate)had car towed to Holden 2 new keys total cost 1200 (didnt have a second key) Whats worse i was minding fambily property for my parents for there rental etc..had to gass axe shed open etc... Total cost over 2and a half grand to replace set of keys and locks...
3 months later friend was selling his 4wd and found my spare key lodged in the spare Tyre compartment.
I lost a set of work keys dappled them down on a job they were found 4 months later on top of some electrical conduit. Lucky i had a spare set i gave to security.. Anyways fellas don't loose your keys... and always make sure you have a spare set !!!
I was on an island with some bird guys who put transmitters on a bird and wandered around the island tracking it to see what it was doing and how it got on with the other birds. One of the trackers lost his watch while bush bashing following a bird. Leaving the island he said its mine if I find it. I thought ''fat chance of that happening"
A week or so later I was in the bush wandering around looking for sphenodon punctatus punctatus. Seeing a rock sticking out of the ground I thought I'd sit there for a break. Sitting there for a few minutes I looked down and between my feet was his watch.Now my watch.
