I learned to windsurf at 13 years of age. Started to go to boarding school. I thought Bob Hawke sucked. My mum taught me how to buy and sell shares. In a couple of years I turned my life savings of $500 into $8000. Lost a fair bit in the crash of 87 and wasted the rest on motorbikes.

No, and was wondering why anybody would shoot JFK and marveling at the space race and wondering what the fuss was about with the currency change

Oh the "wonder years revisted" loved that show. BMX was the big thing for us and the Ben Lexen skateboards wish I never broke mine bloody cost a fortune took ages to save for. Slingshots and BB guns fighting the neighbour kids and a crush on Winnie Cooper.

Whoah!

I just did a quick Google search for "Winnie Cooper" because I remember she has some site where she answers maths questions. Seriously.

But let's just say the Image Results where far, far more interesting. Hubba hubba!!

When I was 13 I was dating a girl that looked just like her (then, not now). Sigh.
I wonder if I Google...

How can you say that any money spent on motorbikes is wasted?

I got the insurance payout this week for my stolen bike.

Still can't believe no-one has spotted a flouro orange KaTie-Mobile with Liquid Force stickers on the swingarms?? Can't be that common can they?

On the positive side - no more fiddling with the carbie/engine/whatever the hell you do with it the few days there is no breeze.

That's no positive. I actually enjoyed tinkering with it. I could pay someone else to adjust the jetting or rebuild the heads, but it brings with it a certain sort of satisfaction that is hard to find in other parts of life.

Back on topic, at 13 I was just able to cycle from the farm into town on my mountainbike, so a new level of freedom was becoming known to me.
