Hi
I'm thinking about living somewhere in NZ that it have good Ski resorts, big mountains for flying and close to ocean for kite surfing.
(Obviously good wind is one of the requirements)

Will you please advise me

Cheers

You'll be right to find something i'm sure. there's plenty of room over there because all the Kiwi's are over here.

For great waves and wind its hard to beat Taranaki. There is a club field on Mt Taranaki which can get pretty good but is not epic. But you can surf and snowboard in the same day though.

There is also the option of driving to the central north island for the joys offered on Mount Ruapehu. 2 big fields and one small club field. These fields face west though so can be a little icey in the mornings.........which means you can sleep in after a later one!

Down south Christchurch is 1 hr 15min from Mt Hutt and loads of club fields are of similar distance. There are some absolutely cracking fields like a personal favourite of mine Craigieburn. Some of the best hills you will ever see. Steep and deep!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are good waves in and around Christchurch with some absolute crackers a little further north at Kiakoura.

Central Otago is the pick of the ski areas but will limit your kiting to alphine lakes which can be pretty cold........the west coast is a lovely 3 hr drive away where you will find countless uncrowded spots with lots of wind!!

Dunedin!! Windsurfing there is great, google "Dunedin windsurfing" on You tube, and 4 hours drive to central otago skifields, much better than Mt (s)hutt

Taranaki for sure, apparently only for the hardcore, although I think I have met more hardcore members over here lately.

yeah Dunness is a great spot - but a long drive! Mt Shutt sucks....but the club fields around there are unreal.

Turangi, south end of lake Taupo, North Island. On the chair lift 1 hour from leaving home. Mountain biking, 3 volcanoes to explore and climb, hot thermal pools, windsurfing, surfing, yachting, national park, trout fishing, canoeing, rafting....Its got it all.

If you launched your hang glider off Mt Ruephau, in winter, wearing drop off skis, fly over the crater and catch the thermals coming off the crater lake, thats exteme sports! The volcanoe blows out the lake at times, back in 1995, it blew mid winter,a lot of extreme sking that day !

Good suggestion. Just remember though that this spot is definitely a BYO sort of place when it comes to chickybabes.
